New staff connect, learn, and prepare for the year ahead at Magee Elementary
On Friday, July 25, 2025, the Simpson County School District officially welcomed its newest team members during the annual New Employee Orientation, held this year at Magee Elementary School.
The event served as an opportunity for newly hired teachers and staff to connect with one another, meet district leaders, and gain insight into the district’s values, expectations, and culture of excellence. Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive activities, designed to build relationships and ease the transition into their new roles.
District administrators and department leaders shared essential information to support a successful start to the school year, covering topics such as curriculum, human resources, student services, and technology.
Superintendent Dr. Robert Sanders delivered a special welcome and message of encouragement, offering insight into his leadership vision and the heart behind the district’s work. He also introduced the district’s mission statement and new guiding motto:
“Don’t just be—be the best.”
This call to excellence will guide the district throughout the 2025–2026 school year as new and returning staff work together to support student success across Simpson County.
