Students in Mr. Brandon Walker's 8th grade science class at Simpson Central recently took part in an engaging lesson focused on natural selection and the role of traits in survival.
District Science Coach Vicki Parker visited the classroom to model the lesson, providing hands-on instructional support while reinforcing key science concepts. Through guided discussion and activities, students explored how traits can impact an organism's ability to survive and adapt in its environment.

Classroom visits like this support instructional growth and help ensure students are receiving high-quality, standards-based instruction across the district.
