Dr. Romonica Feazell named Director of Exceptional Education

Simpson County School District (SCSD) has named Dr. Romonica Feazell as the district's new Director of Exceptional Education.

Dr. Feazell brings 25 years of experience in education to the role, including 24 years serving SCSD. During her career with SCSD, she has served as a special education teacher, lead teacher, assistant principal, and principal. She is a graduate of Mendenhall High School and has dedicated the majority of her educational career to serving students, families, and staff throughout the district.

As Director of Exceptional Education, Dr. Feazell will oversee the district's exceptional education programs, support compliance with state and federal special education requirements, collaborate with school leaders and educators, and work to enhance educational opportunities and outcomes for students with disabilities.

As she begins her new role, Dr. Feazell said:

"This new opportunity represents both a professional milestone and a chance to influence outcomes for students across Simpson County School District. I look forward to making a broader impact on students with disabilities while leading and mentoring special education teachers, helping them grow professionally and improve student outcomes. Dr. Feazell will work closely with district and school leaders to support exceptional education services and continue meeting the needs of students across Simpson County School District.
